What does graduation actually unlock?

Choose by what comes after your degree. The post-study work permit — not the program ranking — is the single biggest factor in turning a degree into permanent residency.

You have the academic profile to qualify; the limiting factors are typically language or funds. Canada and Australia both have post-study work permits with practical PR pathways.

Frequently asked

Honest answers to the questions that decide where you study.

  • Yes. The 2026 federal cap is 408,000 study permits, with only 155,000 going to newly arriving students. Master’s and PhD applicants at public Canadian institutions are now exempt from the cap and from the PAL/TAL requirement, which materially shortens timelines for graduate applicants. Undergraduate applicants still need a Provincial or Territorial Attestation Letter.

  • The federal cap took effect 2 March 2026 and replaces the previous unlimited-hours arrangement. CBSA can verify hours against employer records during PR or PGWP reviews, and exceeding the limit can be cited as study-permit non-compliance. We model your study + work hours into your case plan from day one.

  • Applications submitted on or before 31 December 2026 receive the full 2-year Graduate Route (3 years for doctoral graduates). Applications submitted from 1 January 2027 are reduced to 18 months. We plan course end-dates around this cliff edge.

  • University-program graduates need CLB 7 across all four bands. College-diploma graduates need CLB 5. We run a diagnostic in the first session and book your CELPIP / IELTS in the right window so the result is in hand when your final transcript is.

  • No. Your first 45-minute consultation with a Chase Global industry expert is free, and you leave with a written pathway recommendation. We provide transparent service fees only after the assessment, when we know what you actually need.

  • For files we managed, we re-examine the refusal letter, address the officer’s specific concerns, and resubmit at no additional fee in the majority of cases. For files initially submitted by the applicant or another agent, we offer a paid refusal-recovery review.

The next intake closes sooner than you think.

Most countries’ fall 2026 windows close between February and May. Spring intakes fill faster every year. Book a free assessment and get a written pathway in 24 hours.
